Amaryllis red lion hippeastrum ( galaxy group ) , lovely scarlet red funnel shaped flowers on a tall stem , green foliage , produces 2-3 upright stems and 3- 5 flowers per stem , height 50 - 70 cm , 6 - 8 weeks to flowering , blooms in winter january to march , bulb size 30 +

  Planting & Maintenance:

Plant the bulb from september to december , grown indoors in a suitable pot with the bulb half covered with a quality compost , keep in a warm location , grow at room temperature , water sparingly at first until the flower stem develops , feed with a liquid fertiliser remove stem after flowering , comes back every year
